FAQ
-
Halfscale is a coaching practice for people working in music and creative industries. I work one-on-one with artists, managers, operators, and creative professionals who want to build sustainable careers without losing themselves in the process.
-
I've spent close to a decade inside the industry — A&R, artist management, partnerships — before going back to school to study clinical social work. That combination is rare. I understand what it actually feels like to carry a roster, navigate a label, or build something independently. I'm not approaching this from the outside.
-
Coaching focuses on work-related challenges — burnout, boundaries, career transitions, sustainable work rhythms, and the particular pressures of creative industry life. I'm not a licensed therapist (yet). If you're experiencing clinical symptoms of depression, anxiety, or trauma, I'll encourage you to work with a licensed clinician and can help connect you to the right support.
-
Yes. All sessions are via Zoom. NYC-based clients can meet in person when that makes sense.
-
Sessions are 50 minutes. You bring whatever is most pressing — a decision you're stuck on, a pattern you keep running into, something that's been building for a while — and we work through it together. There's no fixed curriculum. The goal is clarity and forward movement.
-
$100 per session. A limited number of sliding scale spots are available — mention it when you reach out.
-
I'll follow up within a day or two to set up an initial conversation. We'll talk through what's going on and figure out if it's a good fit. No pressure.
